With my highly individualized support, you’ll:

  • Have a clear idea of your and your partners: boundaries, love languages, needs, non-negotiables, shared values and attachment styles in relationships.

  • Learn how to fight better and have disagreements without deteriorating respect, trust, and intimacy. 

  • Speak up about what you both are experiencing, feeling, and repressing, voicing any concern(s) with insecurities in a relationship.

  • Create better chemistry together and ease in your day-to-day functioning as a couple.

  • Navigate relational challenges mindfully and maturely so they defuse faster, returning to peace together.

With couples counseling, you’ll gain communication, parenting, and self-regulation skills to improve your relationship. 

My specialties in working with couples include Dialectical Behavior Techniques (DBT therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT therapy), relationship building, boundary setting, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. 

My office is located in the West Village of Manhattan. I’m also available for telehealth therapy over Zoom.

I’m Addison Gleason, LCSW (she/her)

A modern New York therapist whose only goal is to help you see beyond your stories, write your own narrative, and live in a way that is unapologetic about who you are. 

I attended the Silver School of Social Work for my Masters at New York University, where I specialized in addiction and eating disorders. 

Outside of being a therapist, I actively apply this work to my personal healing journey. 

Relationships are complex, nuanced and not one-size-fits-all. 

What makes my human-approach unique? I’m transparent and will voice what needs to be said in service of your relationship. 

Direct-yet-kind honesty is a requirement for growth.
