Addison Gleason, LCSW
(she/her)
New York City Therapist based in Manhattan
My Purpose: Client-Centered Goals
In my practice, we go beyond “how does that make you feel?” and into action for change.
I equip clients with the tools to find who they are, know what they want, and make aligned decisions forward.
Especially:
those with body dysmorphic disorder, body image issues, eating disorders and disordered eating
people with depression and emotional numbness
individuals with anxiety who also desire more confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth
couples who need therapy communication techniques for a modern relationship
people in the LGBTQIA+ community
You’ll connect more with yourself and your partner when you understand your non-negotiables in life, work, relationships, personal boundaries, and money.
This new self-awareness paves a path for ease, joy, and drive.
transparent truth supports your growth, and you deserve to grow.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, I moved to New York to pursue my love of TV/Film and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University.
Realizing my love and curiosity for helping people, I attended the Silver School of Social Work for my Masters in Social Work.
I went from sharing characters' stories on-screen to championing people and their stories in my office.
It was inside my own therapy that I saw what an unbiased therapeutic relationship, healthy coping skills, and prioritizing my mental health did to enhance my life.
I have been where my clients have been, and I actively apply this work to my personal healing journey today.
